Syd learned this on her trip to the San Juan River with her dad.
Loved it. This last weekend I did not have my camera which really stinks because we went camping on Mingus Mountain and it was stellar! Blue skies, not too hot and we had a great site. Chrissy, Mark and Niya came to play with us and Mark brought his Jeep – HOW FUN WAS THAT!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!
Hope you all have wonderful Mom’s days! XXOO!

Dave has his very own shop! We are very excited for Dave!!!!! Those of you that know him know what I am talking about. Three years ago (Actually 5 the seed was planted….) Dave wanted to have an auto glass company. He quit three years ago and decided to try it, after all, he knew he could get a job. He is very good at what he does…..
So he started to work out of his new van and here we are three years later – my honey has his very own shop! I couldn’t be more proud of him. Drop him a line so I can pass it along to him. I know he’d love to hear from you. Not bad for a guy who turns 40 this Friday!!!!

I certainly hope that the snow has finally gone to other places. We had two storms last week and that was plenty. It’s sunny and beautiful and I planted only a few flowers as the guy at the nursery told me that we won’t be done until after Mother’s Day. (Although I remember snow in April only…….so I’m sticking with that story.)
Sydney is doing great. She is progressing well in Kung Fu – she is a brown belt now and only has two belts to go until she leaves the Little Dragons and becomes a Ninja.
Way to go girl! The other day, in sparring, she punched Nate in the face (fellow friend) and knocked his tooth out. (He was happy about this) Upon receiving the tooth, Nate’s mom, Kelly, took it to the bathroom to rinse mouth guard, tooth, ect off when she accidentally flushed it down the drain. This is Nate’s second tooth – the first one, the poor boy swallowed…….not having a lot of luck with the teeth in the Nate/Kelly family.
I heard the tooth fairy left a letter along with a couple of bucks so Nate is recovering.

We are in for a fantastic Easter! Today (Friday) is crazy busy…..Syd has a half day and will then travel to a friend so that they (all three girls) can see Ms. Hannah Montana!!! WOOHOO. My friend Sandra and her new husand, Nigel are coming in from England to pay us a visit. Sandra was introduced to me by Dr. Jules Rossman (my college guidance counselor) many years ago and I just love her! I was lucky enough to go to England to see her and Syd and I will be jumping the pond to visit them. Sandra just has to sit in one place long enough for us to visit (she is a world traveler – she has even slept in a monestary in Tibet………oops I was corrected – Napal)….yeah, she is that cool! So many pictures to come. They will arrive around noon so I will spend some time with them. Then back to the office as office guy Josh is headed to a baseball game in Phoenix. WOOHOO! Then Dave is taking Syd to Kung Fu so I can hang with Sandra and Nigel.
Saturday we are supposed to go to the Kung Fu Easter egg hunt but…..tut, tut, it looks like rain……so we are not sure…..THEN, as if that weren’t enough, we are headed to Freedom Station (cooler version of Chuckee Cheese) for kid play – not bad for a rainy day. Hope Sandra and Nigel join us because it’s been a LONG time since they have been around screaming mimi’s!!! HEE HEE.

Busy weekend coming up! We are having Sandra and Nigel over from England Friday and Saturday!!!!! I cannot wait to see the newlyweds!! WOOHOO. For those of you that don’t know who Sandra is, she is a good friend of mine I met through my student advisor, Dr. Jules Rossman, at WMU. We hit it off and I have even been to England to see her. Syd and I are planning a hop across the pond to see her (if she would sit in one place long enough – she is a world traveler). Saturday is the Kung Fu Easter egg hunt, although ….. tut, tut, it looks like rain….so we don’t really know what is up with that. Depending on how long Sandra and Nigel stay (they are going down to the valley to see Dr. Rossman) we will be heading to Freedom Station (KID HEAVEN) to play with some pals. Sunday is Easter Sunday so church is in order and then we get to relax!
Wishing you all a great Easter.
